Well I’m glad that I give off a feeling of successfulness! Unfortunately though, I’m a poor student who had to turn to camming for money over the summer :P
There’s an awful lot of information on the internet, and even whole government schemes to try to get you into jobs - go to the Job Centre! (I’m assuming you’re in England…)

The one useful advice I know, I actually found out today - I was talking to a woman who used to work as a head hunter for places. She said that if you tick all of the specifications that the job needs, they HAVE to give you an interview! So if you find a place, they often have a careers page online, take a look at that.
